Palau SDA Schools fully comply with all Ministry of Education Standards. We also are in full compliance with the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist Department of Education. Our standards and curriculum is directly based off of Adventist Education Standards, which is recognized worldwide as one of the highest levels of education in the world. The Seventh-day Adventist educational system is the second-largest Christian school system in the world, after the Roman Catholic system. It has a total of 7,598 educational institutions operating in over 100 countries around the world with over 1.5 million students worldwide.
The denominationally based school system began in the 1870s. The church supports holistic education: “Mental, physical, social, and spiritual health, intellectual growth, and service to humanity form a core of values that are essential aspects of the Adventist education philosophy.â€

*All students are required to take 3 years of Math (Pre-Algebra is considered one of those but will not be granted towards acquisition of an Advanced Academic Diploma). Students who do not take Pre-Algebra will have the option to take Pre-Calculus their senior year.
*Study Skills is considered a prerequisite for freshman. Freshman Math, either Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1, will be determined by the outcome of the Math Placement Exam.
Palau Mission Academy Scholar/Advanced Academic Diploma
*Students who pass Physics and Pre-Calculus and hold a minimum 3.75 GPA, along with fulfilling the rest of their academic requirements, are eligible for the Advanced Academic Diploma (PMA Scholar). In addition, 100 communities service hours and complete an essay (details will be given by principal) before the end of their senior year. This academic honor is only available for four-year PMA seniors.
